Wednesday, May 20
Kensington Palace, Royal Albert Hall,
the British Natural History Museum,
the Victoria and Albert Museum
and Harrods.

Today we took the tube to the High Street Kensington Station and walked about 3/4 of a mile to Kensington Palace. I had purchased advance tickets on line so we wouldn't have to stand in queue (line) to get in. Kensington Palce was the last home of Princess Diana. Below are the pictures I took outside at Kensington Palace (Photography was not permitted inside the palace):

Next we walked through the Kensington Gardens park en route to the Albert Memorial:

Next we walked past the Royal Albert Hall

to the British Natural History Museum which was chock full of school children on field trips. It is also full of fossils of dinosaurs, which was why I wanted to go there:

There was also a 19th century display of humming birds

Next, we walked across the street to the Victoria and Albert Huseum:

Finally we walked up to the "Meca of Shopping," Harrods Department Store. We spent most of our time in the food court, something unlike any seen in the U.S.A.

Then back to theHigh Street Kensington Tube Station and on to the West Brompton stop. A short walk back to the Hotel to shower and collapse on our beds after walking a total of 4.23 miles.
