KIRKPATRICKS OF ROYAL DESCENT

Some have questioned the accuracy of what I have posted here, so I am providing links to scanned copies of my sources. The core of this page came from 2 sources, A GENEALOGY OF CAPTAIN JOHN KIRKPATRICK OF NEW JERSEY pages 41-46, 74 and Browning's AMERICANS OF ROYAL DESCENT pages 495-498. As for the Kirkpatrick ancestors of Sir Roger, you can read them on this scan from BURK'S PEERAGE AND BARONETAGE, pgs 1515 - 1516 along with the parantage of Roger Kirkpatirck's wife Margaret de Somerville, (Janet Stewart). These books cover from Alfred the Great to ALEXANDER KIRKPATRICK's Sons. Anything older than Alfred the Great can be verified with any good set of encyclopedias. Since the main person to question my research has provided no credible documentation for his work, my work stands unchanged.

This page is set up a little differently than the others. The most recent generation is ON TOP, and the oldest is at the bottom. Parents are BELOW the children on this chart.
English royalty is in
PURPLE and French royalty is in GREEN.
