Day 3 was dedicated to exploring the part of the Vegas Strip to the north of our hotel. But, first we had to get some breakfast. Unlike our first morning in Vegas, where we at at the Brunch Buffet at the Imperial Palace, we decided to go to Denny's. Boy was that place crowded!!! And breakfast of a Grand Slam + hashbrowns, a Senior French Toast Special and 2 coffees cost us $20 (add the juice to that we bought at McDonalds and you get a grand total of $26). We then picked up our tickets at the Mirage for the Terry Fator Show that evening.
A quick trip back to the room then we were off to explore THE VENITIAN HOTEL & CASINO. I read that this hotel and casino cost $1.5 BILLION to build, and I believe it.
The shops on the 2nd floor tout a complete replica of St. Mark's Square along with a canal and gondola rides and singing gondoliers!!! There is also an outside canal with gondola rides and singing gondoliers. I treated Suz to a private (2 person) Gondola ride (normally you share with another couple). While we where there we watched a couple get married on the Wedding Gondola.

I think THAT was probably the most romatic Vegas wedding I've ever heard of. Here are some pictures from The Shops at the Venetian:

One Shop sold Fabrige Eggs (they started at $4,000.00 each and went up to $16,000.00)!!

After this, we returned to the hotel to rest for a couple of hours before the evenings show at THE MIRAGE for the TERRY FATOR SHOW. (While Suz rested, I went to look at the Imperial Palace's
*Antique and COLLECTABLE CAR COLLECTION.*) Terry Fator won AMERICA'S GOT TALLENT in 2007 and has since penned a $100Million contract to appear at the Mirage for the next 5 years. He put on one hell-uv-a-show for 90 minutes, then did a 90 minute meet-and-greet where he signed autographs and posed for pictures.
